Over four series of Married At First Sight UK, I played a key role in delivering the show's social media strategy, creating content that kept audiences engaged before, during and after transmission. Working across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat and X, I produced social-first content that built anticipation for each series and captured the biggest moments as they happened.
My Role
Ahead of each series, I worked with a camera operator to produce exclusive digital content introducing the brides and
grooms. This included filming cast interviews and creating the popular Get to Know the Brides and Get to Know the
Grooms reels, giving audiences their first look at the cast before the show aired.
During transmission, I monitored each episode in real time, identifying standout moments for social. Working closely
with editors, I transformed key scenes into short-form videos and platform-specific content that could be published
while conversations were unfolding, helping audiences engage with the series as it aired.
Alongside content production, I collaborated closely with the Channel 4 marketing team to shape the visual identity of
the social channels each season, ensuring content felt consistent across every platform.
Collaboration
The project involved managing multiple stakeholders across every stage of production. I worked closely with
production companies, legal teams, marketing, editors and external partners to coordinate approvals, maintain editorial
standards and deliver content to tight broadcast deadlines.
We also collaborated with publishers including LADbible and Tyla to create co-branded social content, alongside
commercial partners such as TU and Colgate, producing sponsored content that complemented the series while
remaining authentic to the audience.
The series was published across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, generating strong engagement and becoming a popular recurring content format.
